When ex-navy man-turned-French chef
Robert Tuller opened this store in Septem-
ber 2001, the neighbors inclined toward culi-
nary cosseting immediately embraced its
finely edited selection of high-end foods. An
ever-evolving inventory of 100 international
cheeses includes Saint Marcellin, a soft,
sophisticated cow’s milk cheese from
France, and Humboldt Fog, northern Cali-
fornia’s award-winning goat cheese. Pre-
pared items range from al dente haricots
verts to Cowboy Pie, an American version of
shepherd’s pie made with pork and demi-
glace. Among the handsomely packaged
specialty items are Jacques Torres’s addic-
tive chocolate bark, imported yogurts, arti-
sanal pastas and fancy olive oils.
